Commercial building fire on Railway Street, Stackstead, Bacup

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service currently has 10 fire engines and an aerial ladder platform in attendance at a commercial building fire on Railway Street, Stacksteads, Bacup. Firefighting operations are underway. 

If you can see or smell smoke, please keep your windows and doors closed.

Our drone unit is also in attendance so please do not fly drones in the area, as this will obstruct emergency operations.

We also ask that you avoid the area where possible. There are several road closures on Railway Street, Newchurch Road and surrounding roads, so please check and plan your journey accordingly.

Crews and partner agencies will remain in attendance throughout the day to extinguish the fire, carry out an investigation, and minimise the impact on the local community and surrounding areas.
